A Musical Saw

Musical saw

This was made for a local music student, who couldn't find a suitable saw to play. They need to be much longer than a typical woodworking saw, and much bendier. I knew I had some suitable scrap stainless steel in the shed, so I offered to make one.

Making it didn't take much effort, but I managed to give myself chromium poisoning ! If you're plasma cutting high-chromium stainless, then it pays to use a respirator.

The Fat Bat logo is sand-blasted (badly) through a paper stencil. Jarkman's home-made sand blaster works really well, but we need stronger stencils.
